Coracles are small traditional boats woven from pliable wood that are still used for fishing in west Wales. The designs are river specific and their use in the UK date back to the Iron age. The coracle-fisherman seen walking at dusk with their coracles on their backs have in historical records been described as appearing like beetles. Through constructing, performing-with and evolving the coracle, Sarah explores human-boat hybrids, connecting tradition, craft and the female body between Wales and London.
